Here in the Chianti region of Tuscany, there is a former Monkery that now houses Badia Coltibuono, one of the leading winemakers in the area.
But the bonus is that do a region cooking class which I took yesterday.
We make orecchiette with a simple tomato sauce along with a pork roast, chocolate moose and different types of bread.
We had the please of actually eating what we made paired with their amazing 2004 Reserva.
Although the entire took 7 hours, I could the other 5 for recovery.....what a feast!!
